The Specialist will assist in the implementation of value chain development interventions in three CDI cities. Speciﬁcally, s/he will (1) assist vegetable growers in Cagayan de Oro in developing a traceability system for vegetables to access more lucrative markets; (2) formulate a business and operations plan, based on results of consultative sessions and workshops, for the Puerto PrincesaAgri-Pinoy Trading Center, in coordination with local stakeholders; and (3)formulate the business plan, based on results of consultative sessions and workshops, for the proposed AgriAqua Processing Center in Iloilo City, in coordination with local stakeholders and the Fisheries Value Chain Specialist.
The candidate must have an undergraduate degree in agriculture, agribusiness, management, entrepreneurship or any related course (postgraduate degree an advantage), with at least ten (10) years of experience in agribusiness development and marketing(preferably with development organizations and/or private companies). S/he must have experience in implementing agriculture value chainrelated activities such as project development, business planning, marketing, market planning, product standards improvement and traceability.
