The Protection Data Manager works in support of the Deputy Protection Coordinator as part of the Philippine data team. The data team is responsible for providing contextualized technical advice and support in protection data management.
Monitors the coherence and consistency of the management of protection data, ensuring it is done according to ICRC standards
Provides regional and global statistics and analytical reports
Supports the delegation in its day to day work by answering queries and monitoring the quality of its database
Advises and provides support on data processing, technical use of institutional software, office management, and training in data management
A successful candidate will have:
University degree in administration, information management, social sciences, statistics, or a related field
At least 3 years’ professional experience, including at least 2 years using, managing, and analyzing computer data; and an understanding of relational database systems and data models
Full familiarity with and have a keen interest in working with MS Office Suite
Very strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize data, including data visualization
Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in English and Tagalog
Excellent capacity to work independently and to define priorities with minimal supervision
Team spirit and the capacity to integrate a multidisciplinary/multicultural approach
Strong motivation in humanitarian work
Readiness to travel within area of coverage, when needed
As an asset, the successful candidate may also have:
• Knowledge on MS Dynamics, MS Report Builder, and SQL
• Data analytics experience using MS Visual Studio or MS SQL Server Reporting Services
• Understanding of geographic information systems and tools (QGIS or ArcGIS)
• Good training skills

• Administrative and organizational skills and have a sense of responsibility and discretion
