The Information Technology (IT) Officer is responsible for ensuring the IT systems of CFSI are properly installed, secured, effective, efficient, and regularly updated as well as enhanced. This includes performing a variety of tasks associated with the installation and operation of hardware and software, including maintenance and protection, backup, upgrading, and networking. S/he is responsible for helping to develop systems for records retention, ensuring the security of the CFSI archives, and business continuity. The IT Officer will maintain the CFSI’s e-mail and internet accounts. As IT helpdesk, the IT Officer also provides support to staff, through troubleshooting and resolution of hardware/software issues, providing relevant IT training, and continuously scanning the development of IT products and services.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible service in similar capacity, preferably in an international non-government organization. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and networking principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, web-based applications, and enterprise management systems, including accounting software. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Filipino.
