Job Description

The Project Coordinator leads the implementation of this response and recovery initiative and ensures all activities are carried out in accordance with the highest professional standards as well as completed in a timely manner. Establishes good working relationships, both internally and externally, and enables collaborative efforts between partners including, but not limited to: donors, local government units and line agencies of Government, coordinating bodies, the population of concern, a variety of humanitarian and development actors, and other key stakeholders. In collaboration with the other members of the project team, the Coordinator is expected to lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of the project, including the formulation of project strategies and tactics, the development of measurable work and financial plans, and submission of periodic reports. Qualification

Master’s degree in social work, public administration, business administration, or a related field is required. Minimum of five (7) years of progressively responsible, related project management and supervision experience, ideally in both the humanitarian and the development sectors; working with diverse groups of people, specifically those affected by armed conflict in Mindanao; and committed to enhancing protection and improving the quality of life of internally displaced persons (IDPs). S/he must have demonstrated the ability to: formulate and ensure the effective implementation of detailed work and financial plans; analyze and respond to rapid developments in the socio-political environment; build bridges with a wide range of stakeholders; and report, in a timely manner, on progress towards agreed deliverables. Proficiency in the use of log- frames and participative/community-based processes is required. Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented with fluency in Maranao, Maguindanaon, Visayan, and/or Cebuano dialects. Knowledgeable about Mindanao, the conflict-affected areas, and the prevailing socio/political dynamics. Proactive and rigorous approach to problem solving and professional responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team. Able to work across and beyond projects. Proficient with personal computers and appropriate software.
