Job Description

Chemonics International seeks a Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded biodiversity and natural resource management program in the Philippines. This position will be based in Manila, Philippines.
 
Responsibilities:
Provide overall project leadership, management, and technical direction; supervise personnel and oversee subcontractor performance; liaise with USAID, government counterparts, donor organizations, and local and regional partners; ensure project assistance is technically sound and appropriate; create and implement a strategic, long-term programmatic vision.
 


Qualification
  • Advanced degree in environmental science, global environmental policy, forestry, natural resource management, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience; 5 years of experience leading programs of similar scope and complexity
  • Experience with natural resource management policy development and implementation; specific knowledge of biodiversity and conservation required; knowledge of conservation finance preferred
  • Experience working with international donor-funded projects; USAID experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical teams located in multiple locations
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical teams located in multiple locations
