Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

The Finance and Administration Manager is responsible for all long-range of financial matters and to establish company-wide financial and administrative objectives, policies, programs, and practices, which insure the Company of a continuously sound financial structure. This includes control of company assets including the flow of cash through the organization and maintaining the integrity of funds, securities, and other valuable documents.

Directly accountable to the President and the board of directors through the President for the performance of all responsibilities related to financial management and administration.

Provide leadership and overall management direction to a wide range of activities related to Finance, Information Technology, Supply, Administration and discretionary activities that serve to support effective operations.


Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position will be a fly in – fly out rotation, based at the Masbate Gold Project in Masbate, Philippines.


Competencies and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration. MBA and CPA preferred. With at least eight years’ work experience preferably in the Mining Industry as a hands-on Finance and Administration Manager.
  • Extensive finance and cash flow management experience.
  • Knowledge of the 1995 Mining Act and generally accepted accounting principles and current pronouncements and developments.
  • Knowledge on Philippine tax laws especially on local taxation expanded withholding tax and Vat.
  • Possess strong leadership, negotiation, communication, coaching, problem solving, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Good systems experience preferably familiar with Pronto Enterprise Management System
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good planning, organizing, scheduling and monitoring skills.
  • Experience in successful strategic planning and execution.
  • Proficiency in effective presentation of information and ideas to executive team and board of directors.
  • Track record of building and coaching strong, productive teams
