Job Description Monitor the HVAC system at customer buildings remotely through BuildingIQ proprietary user interface software, to identify and diagnose operating changes outside of normal system operating parameters in order to generate energy savings. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION 1.) Gather and evaluate building controls technical information, creating structured and logical diagnoses to rectify basic control issues. 2.) Adjust variable settings as required to ensure systems operate correctly within defined parameters. 3.) Carry out routine checks for correct operation of all HVAC controls equipment as directed. 4.) Maintain daily activity logs and distribute the information as required. 5.)Develop a working practice to enable pro-active support of assigned customers. 6.) Capitalize on all opportunities to learn from day-to-day situations and knowledge sharing with colleagues. 8.) Maintain accurate electronic records of all tasks undertaken
Qualification JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1.) Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent education plus 2+ years expertise in installation and maintenance of HVAC and the electronic control of Building Management Systems OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineeringand 1 year Commercial BAS or HVAC experience. 2.) Basic knowledge of HVAC principles and Building Controls. 3.) Self-motivated with sound analytical skills and ability to work on own initiative. 4.) Strong intrapersonal skills with the ability to work well with other team members, customers. 5.) Ability to understand and adapt to using new and innovative software tools. 6.) Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel. 7.) Customer service focus DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 1.) IF ANY, Exposure to at least one of the leading BMS platforms (such as Schneider Electric or Siemens). 2.) Ability to operate with strong time management skills. 3.) Capable of working efficiently and doing what is necessary to achieve deadlines. 4.) Flexible, adaptable and pragmatic approach. 5.) Able to work and evolve in an ever changing environment. 6.) Willingness to identify and learn about new technologies and practices, including energy saving strategies. 7.) Efficient, proactive, keen attention to detail
